Father consecrates son
On May 1st, a special meeting took place at the UCKG headquarters in Sydney, Australia: it was the first time a bishop was consecrated in the country.
Bishop Vitor Jr. and his wife, Teresa, were consecrated during a packed church service.
Bishop Vitor Silva, who is responsible for the UCKG’s evangelistic work in Switzerland and who also happens to be the father of Vitor Jr., traveled to Australia to consecrate the new bishop.
"The last time I saw my son was about a year ago on Mount Sinai, but his mother hasn’t seen him in over 10 years", said bishop Silva, explaining that his son, who is now 34, has been married for 17 years and has been doing the work of God for nearly two decades, which often causes him to go long periods of time without seeing his parents.
