Meditation for the 21st day:
And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. I Corinthians 15:45
Consider this:
The first Adam, a living soul, refers to being subjected to the flesh’s sinful nature. The last Adam, Jesus Christ, refers to the Person who was conceived by the Holy Spirit. In other words, although He took on a Human form, the Divine Being didn’t subject Himself to the flesh’s sinful nature. Instead, He was led only by the Voice of the Spirit and never disobeyed.
Therefore, we can conclude that, until a Christian’s nature has been transformed from human to spiritual, they haven’t yet been born of the Spirit.
Only those who are born of the Holy Spirit are indeed spiritual. That is, they become a participant of His Divine nature.
