A penchant for so-called nobodies

Some of my favorite Bible verses can be found in 1 Corinthians 1.27, 28:

God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.

I never get tired of reading them. I see myself in them. And I laugh.

I laugh because God has a sense of humor. It’s a pity we take ourselves too seriously sometimes…

If you only knew that your weakness is actually your strength; that what disqualifies you in the world is what qualifies you with God; that your handicaps and shortcomings place you right inside those verses — you would laugh too.

Many people may be laughing at you because of your failures or pitiful life. They may not do it in front of you, but you can almost hear them behind your back.

Well, I want to invite you to have the last laugh.

If you are tired of:
  • being the laughingstock of people
  • being a nobody
  • having nobody
  • having nothing
  • achieving nothing
  • being humiliated by others
  • feeling small
  • being a serial failure
Then come to this meeting and put the above verses to the test. See what God is going to do. You will have the last laugh.
