The 21-Day Fast in the faith of Daniel that we all took part in earlier this year truly revived the church all over the world. We saw many people being baptised with the Holy Spirit – which is our main objective.
However, I can’t stop asking myself why some of the members who have been in the church for so many years have not been baptised with the Holy Spirit yet…
The Lord Jesus said that we would receive whatever we asked in His name. His desire to live inside of us is far greater than our desire to receive Him, and that’s because the Holy Spirit needs a body in order to express Himself; He needs people to be His witnesses… so why haven’t some of them received the Seal of God yet?
They have been “seeking” the Holy Spirit, they have changed many of their actions and attitudes, they have taken part in purposes of faith, and yet nothing! Why is that? The answer that God has revealed to me is simple: The lack of sincerity! I was tempted to write “the lack of true sincerity” instead, but the truth is that there is no true or false sincerity. We don’t need to use the word “true” before sincerity because sincerity is already true.
It is commonly believed that the word “sincere” is derived from the Latin sine = “without”, cera = “wax”. According to this explanation, dishonest sculptors in Rome or Greece would cover flaws in their work with wax to deceive the viewer. So, if you are one of those who have been Christian for many years and yet have never been sealed with the presence of God, then the solution is simple:
Be sincere! You know who you are. And don’t forget: God also knows who you are and what is deep down inside your heart. We can deceive people but we cannot deceive God, or can we? I don’t think so.
Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.” (Ephesians 6:24)
God bless you.
