Blood Has a Voice

There are many voices in the world. There are even louder cries of pain — from those who suffer injustice, the hungry, the rejected, the forsaken, the lost, the desperate…

Many voices have cried out. But few have been heard.

What makes one of these voices different?

The difference is in the voice that never ceases to cry out; the one that insists on being answered, and the longer it waits for it, the louder it cries.

It’s the voice of blood.

It has nothing to do with a simple prayer or religious supplication. Those can wait.

But the voice of blood cries out. It refuses to wait. It expects to be answered immediately.

The voice of blood cries out, complains, and makes demands. Not even death can silence it. Not even God can deny its requests.

The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground. Genesis 4.10
