Picture this: You send your child off for a regular day at school but during class, the teacher has a whole new lesson plan in mind; she leads the class in a discussion about a video of two women openly speaking about how great their lesbian relationship is. And wait, there’s more: the teacher uses her textbooks to read stories to her son about gay families, bisexual men and women, transsexuals and transvestites.
Believe me: this is what they intend to do with the Brazilian public school system, the second half of this school year. The Ministry of Education wants to distribute books and videos like these to 6,000 schools throughout the country.
The absurdity of this proposition is so rampant, it goes against all reason. It’s appalling to any parent. This goes against our beliefs.
What was meant to be used in the fight against discrimination becomes explicit homosexual propaganda.
I'm not prejudiced; I, myself, have counseled many homosexuals in the church. We pray, counsel and help them with the same zeal we would devote to any other spiritually burdened person that may walk through the door of any Upper Room of the Holy Spirit.
The Word of God and the UCKG teach us to accept homosexuals, but never, ever, homosexuality!
My children will not turn out to be gay! The right is mine, and ONLY MINE, not to want a gay son! The Constitution guarantees me that right. We have the right to want the best possible future for our children. And, in light of our faith, the path to happiness involves the institution of the family with a husband and wife, namely: a man and a woman.
May the Holy Spirit guide our government leaders, so they put an end to this aberration. And may our cries of protest be heard by the men in Brasilia.
